Today we enjoyed a beautiful bike ride from Girona to Sant Feliu de Guíxols, via the impressive climb of Sant Grau, and then continued on to Platja d’Aro. Before heading back, we needed to recharge — both ourselves and our electric bikes. You’d think that wouldn’t be a problem with so many restaurants around in Platja d’Aro, but surprisingly, we didn’t find much hospitality. That is, until we discovered La Maglia cycling café. What a breath of fresh air! The staff immediately thought along with us and were incredibly helpful. They made it possible for us to charge our bikes, and while we waited, we treated ourselves to a delicious red velvet cake and a fresh juice. A truly great spot with a relaxed atmosphere, excellent service, and tasty treats. Highly recommended for anyone on (or off) the bike in the area!

Hacía mucho tiempo que quería ir, aprovechando unos días de vacaciones nos pasamos a desayunar. El sitio es super bonito y acogedor. La comida y el café buenísimo, estamos deseando volver ya!!!!

La mejor cafetería de Platja d’Aro, de hecho la única cafetería de especializad al estilo de las que puedes encontrar en Barcelona. Se suelen juntar muchos ciclistas que hacen rutas por la zona y este parece ser el lugar de referencia donde se toman un refrigero durante o al final de la ruta. De hecho el nombre del local h toda la decoración (incluso merchandising) está relacionado con el ciclismo. Café actualmente tostado en la misma cafetería, y posibilidad de comprar tanto café en grano o molido en la tiendita de al lado, donde sirven take away también. Lugar para desayunar/comer/brunch/merendar, con tostadas saludables, poke bowls y otras opciones con buenos ingredientes (huevos, aguacate, salmón, jamón). Repostería y pastelería curada. Sin duda un lugar para ir repitiendo la visita cada vez que vaya a Platja d’Aro.

Great food, delicious desserts (especially recommend the cinnamon roll!), and stylish design! The only downside is that you have to place orders at the counter, as the staff doesn’t take orders at the table. This can be inconvenient, especially when you just want to get a coffee refill but have to wait in the same long queue with people ordering both food and drinks. It would be great if the owners could improve this process, perhaps by offering a separate line for quick orders or an earlier take-away option to avoid long waits.
